Great tent for the price, April 10, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Ledge Sports Tarantula 2 Person Tent (92 X 58 - 42-Inch Height, 6.9-Pounds) (Sports) This is a great tent for the price. It has the same features as the expensive tents, but at a fraction of their price. pros- 2 doors so there is no having to crawl over one another, only around a pound heavier than the expensive tents, nice rain fly with vents and windows, cool tarantula logo, tarp floor that repels water(the expensive tents use the same material as the top to get it lighter, but it will absorb water), little loop on the ceiling for hanging a lantern etc, perfect size for two grown people, nice high ceiling so it doesn't condensate water vapor from breath in cold weather(the vents also help), rain fly door is nice to put shoes under so they don't get wet from dew or rain.
cons- doesn't pack very small(22in x 7in), i have to put it on the bottom of my 3400CI pack instead of inside.
overall, it is totally worth it if you don't have 300 dollars to spend on a "better" tent.

The Tarantula has a grey tarp style floor rather than the tent fabric shown and uses fiberglass poles rather than aluminum.
I purchased this tent back in October of 2011 while on sale. I'm a car camper and don't need to spend $200+ on a more expensive tent with the same style of design. That being said, this is a great tent for the price. You might be able to squeeze two people into this tent, but you'll be very cozy. I recommend this tent to be used as a single person tent. This tent was used for a camping trip for the first time last weekend and it worked perfectly. The vestibules are kind of small, but for one person its plenty of storage. The included gear loft works great as well. Setup was quick and straight forward. Stayed dry and warm. Ventilation is awesome as I had no condensation build up, even with the rain-fly on.

This tent wieghs 6 lbs 4 oz, April 1, 2012 By This review is from: Ledge Sports Tarantula 2 Person Tent (92 X 58 - 42-Inch Height, 6.9-Pounds) (Sports) Bought it off a site that said it is 4 lbs 3 oz, received it box said 5.2, changed the stakes and cut off some material and still 6 lbs. There is a reason the shipping wieght is 7 lbs!! That said it is a great tent for what it is but understand this is not a light wieght tent. Have used it on several hikes and so far no problems except I need to buy another one to cut my wieght.
