Great Simple Tent, August 4, 2011 This review is from: Mountain Hardwear 2011 Sprite 1 Tent (Misc.) Put this tent through its first true test this week in British Columbia camping on the Islands around Vancouver Island. Up to this point I'd only used it in well-established camping areas, never making my own site with it. On West Cracroft Island my girlfriend and I set up camp at what we thought would be well back from the rising night tide. We were wrong at by 3 am it had risen over 50 feet up to and surrounding our tent to the point it felt like we were sleeping on a water bed. However, it never got up past the nylon siding and into the netting, and the inside stayed dry for hours until the tide let up. Great waterproofing, and without a footprint.
Also, when I say my girlfriend and I set up camp, I mean we shared this one-person tent because she didn't have one of her own. Initially thinking it'd be cramped but not wanting either of outside in the unpredictable weather up there, we bunked together and had plenty of room.
