5.0 out of 5 stars The way to go when raining, May 22, 2010

    (REAL NAME)
I have had this a little over 2 months and i usually go camping about 6-8 times a year. I bought this tent to go backpacking with. This tent has its pros and cons. I will get to that in a few minutes. First time I used it I was with my friends at a campsite and it started to downpour with 30 MPH winds easily (not a fun night). They had their own 3 person tent and I had this one man tent. We all decided to go to bed since it was raining and no fun. I got in mine and it's fairly spacious (this is the only one man tent i have ever owned so i can't compare it to any others). The fly on this goes almost all the way to the ground which i love. I get in there and it rains all night and i stay perfectly dry but my friends don't they have sleeping bags that they ring out with water. I was actually quite glad it rained for the first time i used it because I wanted to test the durability of it and it definitely proved its worth.
I would recommend a footpint to go along with it. Even though... Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Great tent that has lasted long, July 21, 2011
The first review about covers everything you need to know. I have used this tent on many occasions over the past 2 years since I bought it and always stands up well. There is plenty ventilation on hot days, it's withstood a hammering from the rain, without issue. I've used it in winter, but build a wall around the base or the snow will blow in! (I don't think it is, by any means a winter tent, though..) The inner and outer are well separated and it's only at the head of the tent that the two may contact, but only if it's pitched squinty. It's served me extremely well.

The big cons is that the main pole recently snapped on me for the second time. The first time was the first night that I ever used it. Mountain Hardwear have apparently changed the designs of their poles sine I bought this, I suppose this helps the issue. I've been extremely careful with my main pole since, and it held up until last week. This is obviously a big issue because the tent is useless without - I... Read more
