Specs on the Mio look very large for a one person tent. Very wide, tall and super long. Wide enough to fit me and GF shoulder to shoulder. Long enough to fit my pack at the back of the tent and her pack at the front and both of us fitting in the middle without touching the packs, (we are both quite short 5'4").
Set up was on the beach and in the dark. It was very fast. Pin the two rear, then pin the front, blow up the beam, then pin the sides, go to go. The small air pump that it comes with was a bit tougher than expected but not bad, I don't think I would want to blow up any larger air tube than this one.
Packs up nice and small. I used to use a military bivy and the mio pack size is a bit larger and its weights just a bit more so compared to one man systems it is not the smallest or lightest. But considering that the gf and I can both fit in the mio it is super small and lite. Definitely smaller and lighter than carrying two... Read more
