great for summer but has a few flaws, May 21, 2012 This review is from: Coleman 4-Person Evanston Tent with Screened Porch Canopy 9 Ft x 7 Ft Fits Queen Bed (Misc.) i bought this tent for $47 at costco last fri and overall im very pleased with it other than a few minor things. i love the screen "porch" and the fact that it has a floor in it. we camp with 2 dogs and and the porch floor kept out most of the dirt and debri from us and the dogs. the size is decent. we fit a full size mattress with a porta potty and still had room for a duffel bag and 2 60lb dogs. though it was a bit of a tight fit but definitely not a bad experience. now for the summer this is a great tent. especially if you like to sleep without the rainfly and see the sky and trees above you. the entire tent from about 2feet off the ground is screen except for 2 small triangle windows on either side. so i would not use this tent in weather weather where it was to cold for you to sleep outside because im sure the wind and cold gets in easily even with the rainfly on. the only other thing i dont like is that it has what i guess are access areas for electrical cords where the screen... Good for two people...not four, June 3, 2012 By Super Dadda (Anaheim, CA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Coleman 4-Person Evanston Tent with Screened Porch Canopy 9 Ft x 7 Ft Fits Queen Bed (Misc.) $67 at Costco. Easy setup. Easy tear down. Definitely needs a tarp underneath to keep the ground from poking at you. The stakes are the typical skinny ones....the money you saved can go towards the purchase of better stakes. Once the tent is up you can see where the stitching has stretched a bit and may need a generous spraying of some type of water proofing material. The bottom of the side windows (the seam that holds the flap) definitely needs a serving of water proofing stuff - it is not covered by the rain fly which I will also soak in water proofing stuff. Had the tent up with minimum shade in 80 degree weather....it will get warm with the rain fly on. With the small vestibule area open and both windows open, a slight breeze makes a world of difference. No standing room for any adult taller than five feet tall. There is room for four sleeping bags side by side in the main canopy...your other gear stays out in the vestibule or car. I had two large sleeping bags and a Coleman... Read more
